Winter Starry Night

This was the most funnest cake I have done. You don't have to worry it your hands are shaky at all. I used a 14in pan for the base. The middle is a 9in and the top is a star pan I found at a yard sale. I made the bottom half chocolate and half vanilla.

Fall Sheet Cake

This Sheet cake is half vanilla and half chocolate. It was Butter cream frosting and Spice cake acorn cakes. It was a walk in the park compared to my normal cakes.

When we delivered this cake, The cake book took off the names of the birthday people, not to self making your own cake box to fit your cake might not be the best idea.

Pumpkins

The pumpkin to the right is white vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream icing.
The pumpkin to the left is a chocolate fudge cake with vanilla butter cream.
I used swish rolls for the steams. I got the pumpkin shape from using a bunt pan.

Strawberry Wondercake

This turned out so good. Its Strawberry cake with strawberry icing. The client said I could have free creative with this one. So, I did a simple design that was all about texture.

Girly Girl B-day

My little Sister turns 22 today. So I make her this Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The plan was to do rosets all over the cake with the stars but I ran out of icing so the bottom layer has lines instead. It looks a lot better in person the these photos.

Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes with Peanutbutter Butter cream icing

These are heaven in your mouth. I am going to add them to my baking book. Oh, the baking book is all the really good ideas I have that work out. That way when I open my own bakery I have them all.

The Purple Unicorn

My Daughter Abby just turned 6 years old. All she wanted was a purple unicorn party with an unicorn cake.

I must say this has to be one of the hardest cakes to date for me. I started with a two layer 9in round pan. I mixed the batter with food coloring so when she cut the cake it was a rainbow inside and man she and her friends loved that.

Then for the Unicorn it self I used a loaf pan and cut both sides off and one corner. the corner i used as the head. on side I used as the tail and the last side I used to cut out legs.

I covered it in my butter cream icing, which was a big hit. I will say tho, I need to work with it some more to find out ways to make it smooth, but for this cake. Smooth was not the goal. I wanted it to look like fur.

Oh, one more thing. I was pipping the ears and noticed I forgot ears, but No one noticed it at all.

Mushroom Garden

This Little cake is a carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I did the piping and vines in Wilton teal. Then I covered the top with green edible glitter. I did not flatten the top or smooth it completely, I was going for a meadow look. I then made Meringue Mushrooms to put on the top. Here's how you can learn to make them. They are cute and so so yummy! http://candy.about.com/od/candybasics/ss/mushroom_sbs.htm

This Cake was for a good friends Birthday. She loved it and can't wait to see what else I can come up with.

Neon Green and Hot Pink Star

This neon star was made for someone who loves glitter! It is also the first cake I have made with homemade butter cream icing. It is a little different to work with but taste so much better them my other. The green I used neon green food coloring and for the pink I used neon pink. On the top inside the pipeing I used edable glitter that I found at Micheals.
Around the base I did really big rosets with my 1M tip. I learned this at my first Denton Cake Club meeting and had to try it out.

USMC Funrasier

These where made for a fundraiser for a Marine who is fighting Cancer. His Wife and Him are hurting financially do to his medical bills and need help. At the fundraiser we manged to earn 5600 dollars for them. We had a golf tournament, raffle and silent audition.

The top cake was a challenge. Its a 14inch to layer round chocolate cake. The frosting I wanted to look like brown cameo. So, it has 4 different shades of dark chocolate and milk chocolate frosting.
The Marine Seal is made out of a sugar sheet with printable ink. For the dog tags I used sugar sheet with edible ink and sugar beads.

The cake to the right is a white cake with vanilla frosting. I did a flag theme as you can see and on the piping I added a few sugar beads.

Rubiks Cube

Sorry about how the pictures look my camera is not working. These photos are from my phone. The Rubics Cube cake has to be in my top 10 cakes. It is 6 square cakes high. I cover it in black frosting with a little (hint: take dark chocolate and then add black dye that way you don't have to add to much because it will become bitter fast. The color Squares are sugar sheets and worked great. I put the Birthday names on with these amazing markers called "food writers". It looked great and the clients said it tasted wonderful.

Spiderman

This cake was fun and stressful. My AC went out and I had to finish the cake at church. The # year Old that this was ordered for Love it. As Spiderman Hanges over the city, big ants take over.

My First Wedding Cake

This cake was so much fun. For right now, all I will says is "freeze after every step." Use cake supports and make sure ever cake is as flat as you can get it.

Mario Kart

Mario Kart Fans,  here's a cake for you. A vanilla star cake and a chocolate square cake make up the course. Big banana (one of the weapons in the game) is being used to support part of the track.  For the players, I simply printed images of the characters and taped them to toothpicks. This was for my gamer, my nerd, my love.

Train Birthday

My son loves him some trains. This is a big cake and if you don't want a lot of left overs I would scale it down a lot. The engine is three-layers of Pillsbury Funfetti cake with an ice cream cone filled with marshmallows, coffee sticks and Hershey bars for windows. The middle car is one square cake the coffee sticks to line the hole that I filled with Swedish Fish (I don't know any kid who doesn't like these gummy treats). The last car is a two-layer chocolate cake with Hersey windows and coffee sticks. The final parts were Oreo for wheels and Kit-Kat candy bars for the track.

Twilight Book

Yes, I'm not afraid to say "I love the Twilight books!" and so does my younger sister, Carrie.  So, when my little sis turned 20, it was a perfect match. This is made from two 13x9 cakes side by side and then shaped to make a book. I then wrote her favorite passage on the left and decorated the other side with chocolate squares, chess pieces, an apple and fruit by the foot as the book mark. It was one tasty read, I tell ya.

Cowboys Grooms

This cake was simple, but so challenging. The body of the jersey was a basic 13x9 and I shaped the sleeves from a 9-inch round. The hardest part of this cake would be the blue frosting. Royal blue is one of the hardest colors to make (right along with black and dark green). This was for the Wilbanks' wedding (I also did the wedding cake, you can see that here!).

Canon Camera

This has to be one of my favorite cakes I've ever made. A good friend of mine is a photographer so I used her Canon camera as a blue print. I made a 13x9 chocolate cake the set it up on its side and cut it to shape  it into a camera. I then went to the bakery inside Kroger, where they have this printer that you can scan an image to make into a frosting image and had them turn her picture into frosting for the photo and display screen on the back. I found a star candle that I used for the pop-up flash.

Motherboard

This was so much fun to make. Cardinal Tracking wanted a birthday cake for their programmers and developers. It is four 13x9 cakes. Two chocolate fudge and two vanilla with classic white frosting. For the chips, processors and other components I used Rollo, Kit-Kats, Wafer cookies and chocolate squares.

Mad Hatter's Hat

This six-layer cake was fun but also a challenge. It's a strawberry cake with milk chocolate frosting. To decorate it I used colored frosting, lollipops and a feather.

Rock Star Mics

These are microphone cupcakes I made for my son's 3rd birthday. They are ice cream cones filled with marshmallows and then topped with a cupcake. For the cord, I used Twizzler Pull-N-Peels, then sprinkled them with colorful sugar.
